This event is co-hosted by the German Chamber of Commerce in China (South & Southwest)
Chinese policymakers have been longing to boost innovation growth, which President Xi Jinping reiterated in his policy address at the Chinese Communist Party's 19th Congress. He advocated greater innovation from Chinese companies and referred in particular to big data, artificial intelligence and internet technologies.
Shenzhen, as one of the cities included in the Greater Bay Area initiative, was designated as China's first Special Economic Zone allowing the region to take in a flush of foreign investment to energise its development and become the fastest growing electronics manufacturing hub in the world, as well as an innovation hub, South China's start-up hub, and incubator for enterprises.
This business delegation to Shenzhen provides delegates further insights into the latest developments in Shenzhen. Company visits include ROYOLE (one of the world's fastest-growing technology start-ups for R&D on flexible electronics applications) and Shenzhen TianAn Cyber Park (the only private technology park and incubator in Shenzhen on a national level).
The visits will be followed by a networking dinner with Dr. Eric Schweitzer, President of DIHK & GCC South China Members, which offers a great opportunity for delegates to mingle and make new connections.
