Quality management is a pre-requisite for companies on their journey of building a sustainable supply chain. Internationally operating companies invest a considerable amount of time and resources into supplier audit programmes, in order to keep their supply chains in check and ensure the highest production quality for customers around the world. However, the underlying processes and workflows often leave room for improvement in terms of sustainability and efficiency.
Developed in partnership with member companies of the GCC Sourcing Committee, the amfori Quality Management Initiative (QMI) addresses these inefficiencies by providing companies with professional guidance and assessment tools to manage their social, environmental, and technical quality, as well as supplier relations in an integrated platform. amfori QMI offers a cross-industry standard that helps to reduce duplicated audits and associated costs, and improve quality management and risk monitoring capabilities.
