Produce, consume, dispose – it often works like a one-way street. But this linear economy, this linear production and consumption patterns aren't compatible with the challenges facing the world today. To take on climate change and preserve our planet, we have to move away from a single-use mindset.

Our society must find new ways of putting our world's limited resources to good use and find a way to a circular economy. This means avoiding waste. It means viewing used products as a resource, recycle what we can along the value chain. It means collaboration between likely and unlikely partners. It also means exploring alternative resources, such as biomass and even CO₂, to keep our hands of fossil- and nonrenewables. This also means switching entirely to renewable energy – a necessity to power a truly resource-efficient economy.

Transitioning to a circular world is a visionary project for society as a whole, and it's gaining traction. In accelerating this transition, the plastics industry has a prominent role to play. German chemicals company Covestro is in the midst of it all and recently announced that it will have its entire business revolve around the circular economy, making it its corporate vision. In this webinar you can join Marius Wirtz, who heads Marketing and Sales for Covestro's largest Business Unit Polyurethanes for APAC, on a journey into the challenges of becoming fully circular.
