This Classical Movie Appreciation Series is in collaboration with One World Spirit Association Ltd. – Cultural Charitable Event

ABOUT THE SERIES:

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic causes adverse impacts on psychological and mental health. We aim to offer some relaxation to balance the stress amidst the pandemic by introducing classical movies with high reputation and value for screening.

In this Movie Appreciation Series, we will explore and analyse some international classical films through guided tours and introduce important trends in different films. Participants will learn about the historical development and different characteristics of film art and grasp the impact and contribution of classic films in the development of human culture and society.

Movie Appreciation Series Screening Schedule:

EVENT OBJECTIVES:

  1. Film culture learning: Introduction to the technique of "film language" of the audio-visual media; in-depth reflection on the creativity, worldview and values expressed in classic film works; understanding how the trend of film classics has shaped and influenced different social cultures and the style of today's film and other audio-visual media.
  2. Support and fundraising to the local underprivileged groups that are impacted by the severe financial and livelihood burdens under the pandemic.
  3. Stress relief during the Covid-19 pandemic: Spend time with family and appreciate movies with guidance.
