It is our pleasure to invite you to this special two-part event, co-organised by Port of Hamburg Marketing and the German Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong as part of the official programme of the Hong Kong Maritime Week 2022.

As an integral part of the Greater Bay Area and a leading maritime centre in Asia, Hong Kong is a strong trading partner of Germany, and Hamburg in particular. The two port cities share a key role in driving the low-carbon transformation in the coming years, with a view to achieving the ambitious targets set out in the German Climate Change Act and Hong Kong's Climate Action Plan 2050, respectively.

In a hybrid seminar under the title "Green Logistics Solutions from Germany", a panel of experts from Hamburg and Hong Kong will discuss concepts and solutions from the logistics industry to promote the shift towards green shipping. The seminar will be followed by the traditional Port of Hamburg Evening Reception, which will take place again for the first time since 2019.

We are very grateful that the Honourable Mr. Lam Sai-hung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Transport and Logistics, and Mrs. Stefanie Seedig, German Consul General to Hong Kong and Macau, will attend in person to address our guests on this special occasion. Ms. Angela Titzrath, Chairwoman of the Executive Board of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and Mr. Axel Mattern, CEO of Port of Hamburg Marketing, will be speaking at the Evening Reception virtually from Hamburg.

Regrettably, we can only admit a limited number of in-person attendees due to Covid-19 precautions; booking priority is given to members and key invitees of GCC and Port of Hamburg, respectively, from the logistics and shipping industry on a first-come, first-served basis. Thank you for your understanding.

Remarks:

  • In-person seats are limited. Booking priority is given to members and key invitees of GCC and Port of Hamburg, respectively, on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance booking is required, no walk-ins will be accepted.
