The retail industry is undergoing some massive changes due to technology. In the last decade, a popular assumption was that e-commerce would gradually replace brick and mortar retail, as it would be easier for customers to shop online than go to a store. Today, the trend goes towards an omnichannel approach with a mix of brick and mortar and online shopping.

One of the biggest advances driving this transformation in the marketplace is AR, or Augmented Reality. 3D data is essential for such AR experiences and can be used in multiple areas like computer-generated images (CGI), AR spatial projection (projecting AR products into your home) and online product configurators.

In this webinar, we will take a brief look at the connection points between CGI, 3D and AR, how these technologies could transform the retail experience, help retailers to promote their products faster and with lower costs, increase revenue, reduce the time-to-market and product returns.
