The Greater Bay Area (GBA) initiative aims to build an integrated economy and world-class city cluster driven by economic reform, innovation, increased connectivity and integration. While the GBA is expected to create development and business opportunities, companies and individuals are increasingly facing new challenges in tax regulations and cost control. Given the different policies and legal regimes within the GBA, companies may encounter cross-border commercial and investment disputes.

In this webinar our speakers will share first-hand insights and practical considerations on cross-border tax and legal issues. Topics for discussion will include:

  • Key findings from the KPMG, HSBC and HKGCC survey on opportunities, challenges and drivers for GBA growth
  • Sector highlights
  • GBA tax systems, incentives, and investor opportunities
  • Cross-border, investment-related legal issues in the GBA
  • Avoiding conflict: dispute resolution in three jurisdictions
  • How Hong Kong businesses can expand successfully into the GBA market
