Trust in quality and product safety have become the top decision-making factors for Chinese parents when buying goods for their little ones. Although practicability and affordability play a significant role, factors like environmental awareness, and the demand for intelligent design and safety give German manufacturers a clear edge over other competitors.

German Industry and Commerce (GIC) Hong Kong and Guangzhou have teamed up, in order to help German SMEs understand the outstanding market position of Hong Kong and South China, explore new value chains, and set the course for a successful market expansion.

As part of the Market Development Programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy 2021, GIC will host a digital delegation for German SMEs from the Baby, Child and Mothercare products industry to the Greater Bay Area.

From 8th to 10th September, individual (online) business matching appointments will be arranged for the local participants and the German delegates.
