  • Sustainably and Ethically Made Toys (14 December 2021)

ABOUT THIS HYBRID SEMINAR:

There is consensus that play is an important part of healthy child development that can bring a lifetime of benefits. Children do not need expensive toys to learn how to use their creativity and develop their physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.

In the post-pandemic world, children's health and environmental awareness have become ever more important factors in the purchasing decisions of parents. Hence, there has been increasing demand for learning toys that are sustainably and fairly produced (e.g. ethical supply chain standards, non-plastic materials, water-based paints, etc.).

What are the latest trends and solutions in the sustainable toy business? In this hybrid seminar, our speakers will share insights into the developments from the perspective of:

  • Policy measures, such as EU's Circular Economy Action Plan, Sustainable Products Initiative, etc.
  • Initiatives by major retailers
  • Technical aspects for identifying environmental / social aspects
