This event is organised by Belgium-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong
Started in 2016, the BLCC Belgian Business Seminar is an annual event and in 2020 is planned for 4 December.
In response to the current health situation & recommended social distancing, we unfortunately decided to ask the audience to follow the live broadcast online. The seminar will come to your office or home live from the Park Lane Pullman Hotel where the events team will produce the Business Seminar in the same high quality as originally planned, but with our audience at a distance online. A dial-in or joining link will be sent before the event.
This year the topic is 'Smart Logistics as a Key Industry'. Opening remarks will be provided by Consul-General of the Consulate of the Kingdom of Belgium Mr. Peter Robberecht.
Our main speaker will be Mr. Thomas Yu, Director Global Hub Operations & Product Development at 菜鸟 Cainiao Smart Logistics Infrastructure, followed by a brief presentation by Mr. Jan Huisman of Landmark Global Bpost to update the audience on the upcoming 'modernising' of EU VAT regulations for cross-border eCommerce.
Afterwards guests are invited by moderator Mr. Steven Verhasselt of Liege Airport to interact in a panel discussion featuring the following panellists:
Then after all questions from the audience are answered by our expert panel, we move to a short bonus presentation by our second keynote speaker Mr. Frank Van Gelder, who has recently become one of five experts in a Think Tank for the Covid-19 vaccine distribution Task Force with the University of Antwerp. In his capacity as Senior Airfreight Consultant he will shine a light on the logistics behind shipping the Covid-19 vaccine all over the world.
