In view of an increasingly complex global environment in the past few years and recent months, China's economy is at a crossroads. Heading into 2022 with multiple headwinds, China is facing rising uncertainties with regards to economic growth. Hence, it is time for companies and potential investors to think about a few key questions:
Will the fundamentals of China's economy be changed?
How will the relationship between China and the world evolve?
What are the growth engines of China's future economy?
Is China still investable for foreign business?
What are the business opportunities in the Chinese market?
Yet despite short-term instabilities, the Chinese economy still offers medium- and long-term growth opportunities for multinational companies. But multinationals must understand the new China story: Increased politicisation of business and an internal market that is growing in size and importance – and is very different from other markets – calling for business model localisation.
In this hybrid seminar, Denis Depoux and Laurent Doucet will address the above questions and provide insights on why the Chinese economy will continue to offer plenty of opportunity for multinationals.
