This event is co-organised with The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC)
The Hong Kong Government has proposed the Northern Metropolis Development Strategy to strengthen the roles of Hong Kong and Shenzhen as the "twin engines" of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The large-scale development plan aims to utilise the untapped potential of Hong Kong's scarcely populated borderlands near Shenzhen to not only alleviate the housing shortage in the city, but also promote cross-border synergy in the I&T sector. How can the business sector participate in the strategy and realise new opportunities? What kinds of investment, talent, and industry policies will be needed to support the development of the Northern Metropolis into a successful commercial hub?
Dr. Stephen Wong, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the Public Policy Institute, and Mr. Ryan Ip, Research Director and Head of Land and Housing Research, Our Hong Kong Foundation, will share their insights on these topics and the way ahead for the Northern Metropolis.
