Last Thursday, we hosted another insightful HR seminar led by Heidi A. of Dew-Point International Ltd., this time on “Creating a Learning Culture.” In today’s rapidly changing work environment, motivating teams to continuously adapt and grow is essential but can be challenging. 💡 Heidi discussed the importance of cultivating an environment where employees actively seek new knowledge, share insights, and broaden their skill sets. Embracing self-education and changing perspectives is key; companies that invest in continuous learning see more satisfied, valued employees who can perform at their best. 💭 A critical factor in fostering a learning culture is ensuring employees feel appreciated and recognised. This involves engaging individuals from all areas and levels in training sessions, promoting mutual respect, and encouraging active participation. 👉 Especially during times of change, creating a motivated and collaborative environment is essential. Training sessions should be engaging and evaluated for effectiveness, linking learning to business goals to boost motivation. Setting up a structured framework and establishing shared goals are vital prerequisites for success. Many thanks to Heidi for the insightful session! We look forward to the next instalment on 28 May, which will focus on “Handling Difficult People” – an essential skill for maintaining a harmonious and productive work environment. A few seats are still available, please join us if your are interested! 🤞 https://lnkd.in/g6BhBzDJ #GCCHK #hrseminar #learningculture #corporateculture #employeemotivation

“Walking the Talk” – When expertise meets engagement, chamber organisations can become much more than the sum of their members. Case in point: the GCC Sustainability Working Group! 🌏🌱 Established last year, the Working Group regularly brings together experienced and dedicated professionals from our member companies to discuss current trends and develop solutions with regards to implementing sustainable business practices along the value chain. The results are tangible: Under the leadership of Michael Keppe of Impala Services Ltd. and Patrick Lee of OBI Group Sourcing Hong Kong Limited, the Sustainability Working Group has been active over the past couple of months to create a comprehensive yet concise overview of the ever more complex regulatory landscape impacting sourcing companies and their supplier networks, with the aim to improve mutual understanding and collaboration. More on this very soon! In the meantime, you can learn more about all our Committees and Working Groups here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/dkk2CWuT We always welcome active participation and input from our all valued members.
